In 2008, the IT-production and offered IT-services in Azerbaijan hit 975.7 million manats and increased by 28.4 percent, the State Committee for Statistics said.
The production growth was due to transmissible instruments by 2.1 time, supervisory instruments -two times, installation of supervisory devices and regulating of technological process -by 43 percent, sale of computers and software - by 9.8 times, computer engineering 3.2 times, electric communication - by 28.7 percent and production of radio component - by 3.1 time.
The average monthly salary of IT employees was increased by 25.3 percent and made up 432.7 manats.
