Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM) solutions customers in Azerbaijan will be transferred to the Managed Security Services (MSS), the manager of Symantec on cooperation with partners in the CIS and Georgia Paul Nazarevich told Trend Sept.1.
He said that the direction of SSIM is fully phased in connection with the promotion of MSS solutions based on the cloud technologies.
SSIM solution is currently implemented in the Information Technology Centre (ITC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan, and is used to protect the corporate network of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), Azercell Telecom Ltd. and others.
SSIM monitors and analyzes all the processes in the network, providing the ability to make quick decisions aimed at curbing of negative aspects. The system documents all of the events and stores them for a few years.
"Service Managed Security Services analyzes the infrastructure and events in the field of information security with the help of the cloud services," the manager noted. "Currently consulting works with customers on transition from the SSIM for MSS have been conducted," he added.
SSIM solution will be maintained until 2017, and customers are aware of it. Nazarevich stated, "I suppose, we will be able to redirect them to the cloud approach on the analysis of information security until that time."
