The revenues of Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services in September 2018 amounted to $1.4 million, the Export Review, published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications on Nov. 2, reads.
According to the Center, the revenues received by Azercosmos from the export of services reached 86 percent of its total revenues.
The total amount of revenues received by Azercosmos from the export of satellite and telecommunication services in Jan.-Sept. 2018 reached $16.7 million.
Azercosmos provided 22 countries with its services. The bulk of the operator’s service exports accounted for France ($8.7 million), Malaysia ($4.2 million), the UAE ($1.1 million), Germany ($676,000) and Georgia ($442,000).
Azercosmos OJSC operates geostationary satellites Azerspace 1, Azerspace 2 and low-altitude satellite AzerSky.
