By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

One million manats are planned to be spent for the protection of cable and sewage facilities (CSF) of Baku Telephone Communications LLC, a source in the Azerbaijani telecommunications market told Trend.

Work in this direction is planned to be implemented throughout Baku in 2018, the source said.

Special devices will be installed in the manholes of the CSF, which will automatically notify the operator about unauthorized entry attempts.

The devices are already used in test mode in some CSFs of the operator in central Baku.

Presently, the operator continues to work on the optimization of the CSF infrastructure and work in this direction, as previously reported, is scheduled to be completed by October 2019.

The operator manages 21,266 CSFs and over 90 percent of them are already optimized. Optimization involves the decommissioning of non-compliant cable lines.
