Kazakhstan, India discuss innovative dev’t in ICT services of Uzbekistan

Kazakhstan, India discussed innovative development in specific areas such as startups, aerospace, ICT, as well as in the fields of youth entrepreneurship, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan.

A practical seminar was held within the framework of the International Innovation and Investment Forum “InnoWeek-2020” to discuss the Global Innovation Index, exchange views of leading international experts in the field, as well as develop recommendations for further strengthening Uzbekistan's position in the ranking.

Speakers made detailed presentations on the Global Innovation Index (GII), as well as on promoting and stimulating innovation in Uzbekistan.

The areas and directions of cooperation with countries such as India and Kazakhstan were identified.

In particular, the possibilities of helping Kazakhstan in the development of innovative in certain areas such as startups, aerospace and ICT were discussed with the Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Azamat Batyrkozha.

Representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization Sacha Wunsch-Vincent highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan in the development of innovations in the country.

“The World Intellectual Property Organization will further strengthen cooperation with representatives of Uzbekistan,” Wunsch-Vincent said.

Also, an agreement was reached on the development, together with representatives of India, of a work plan for the development of innovative activities in Uzbekistan in the fields of youth entrepreneurship and ICT services.

In addition, contacts were established with countries such as Vietnam and Sri Lanka to discuss the experience and work done to strengthen the position of these countries in the GII and to receive expert advice on improving the position of Uzbekistan.
