BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. The main consumers of IT technologies in Azerbaijan are private businesses and government organizations, Head of PwC technologies in Azerbaijan Farid Gattal told Trend.
According to Gattal, modern IT solutions, including solutions in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) class, contribute to the development of business in all sectors.
"I want to emphasize that IT solutions help to increase business efficiency, its revenues, reduce costs, and improve personnel management. Consulting companies play a leading role in this context, in digital transformation, helping to build a digital transformation roadmap from IT strategy to the implementation of final initiatives," Gattal said.
"Not every technology or software is suitable for the task at issue. It is necessary to constantly evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment," Gattal added.
PwC representative noted that usually small and medium-sized businesses build their strategy for the short term.
"Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are developing dynamically, but they are more exposed to external risks. Thereby, SMEs should choose more flexible IT solutions that will allow them to quickly adapt business processes to certain realities," Gattal also added.
