IKS-consulting has published the rating of the development of mobile communication in CIS, according to which the number of mobile subscribers in Azerbaijan is 2.9 million, and this figure has exceeded the number in Georgia by 1 mln., Uzbekistan - 1.2 mln., Moldova 1.7 mln., Armenia and Kyrgyz 2.2 mln., Tajikistan 2.3 mln. and Turkmenistan 2.8 mln.
It is stated in the report that the gross number of mobile subscribers in Russia reached 140.3 mln., Ukraine 35.9 mln., Kazakhstan 6.6 mln., Belarus 5 mln. The number of mobile subscribers has increased by 21% since the beginning of 2006.
