The General Director of the joint venture Azercell Telecom, Halim Ateshi, said that investments, of which the Company established in Azerbaijan since 1996, have exceeded $500 mln., Trend reports.
According to Atesh, in 2006 the JV plans to invest $140 mln. in Azerbaijan's communications sector. In 2006 the Company invested over $90 mln., while the balance will be invested by the end of this year, he stated.
The funds will be directed towards the application of new services for clients, different social projects and sponsor activities.
