BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. The Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA) is expanding cooperation with Malaysian tourism organizations, Trend reports.

ATAA Board Chairman Goydaniz Gahramanov met with Mardiana Mohamed Rohani, head of Malaysia's diplomatic mission, and Zohrab Aliyev, Air Arabia's representative in Baku, to discuss increasing the number of mutual tourist visits and expanding cooperation between the countries.

Gahramanov stated at the conference that Malaysia has grown in popularity as a tourism destination in Azerbaijan in recent years. He emphasized the need of building effective projects for both travel firms and tourists in the two nations, and he stated that in the future, combo tours and the production of comprehensive tour packages are planned.

Mardiana Mohamed Rohani, acting head of the Malaysian diplomatic mission, stated at the conference that Azerbaijan has tremendous tourism potential and a rich hospitality culture, and Malaysia places significant priority on the expansion of mutual tourism connections. She stated that Malaysia is willing to share its tourism experience with Azerbaijan.

The discussions included an exchange of ideas on establishing joint cooperation, mutual promotion of tourist destinations and products, organizing promotional information tours, increasing the number of flights by Air Arabia and other airlines, and holding B2B meetings with member companies.
