Caspian Sea jetties in Iran's Mazandaran Province transferred to private sector for use

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 1

Deputy Governor of Mazandaran Province Mehdi RazJouyan has announced that that 390 kilometers of the Caspian Sea coast in the protected area of the province have been transferred to the private sector, Trend reports via IRNA.

“Launch of jetties on the shores of the Caspian Sea can provide better services to the people,” RazJouyan said.

A jetty is a long, narrow structure that protects a coastline from the currents and tides. Jetties are usually made of wood, earth, stone, or concrete. They stretch from the shore into the water.

The Deputy Governor of Mazandaran said that transferring of the Caspian Sea coast has been achieved with the support and empathy of all government agencies.”
