Iran's Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari has emphasized on using country's maximum capacity in building ships domestically, Trend reports via IRNA.
"It is fortunate that we have enough of staff, technical knowledge to have the domestic production increased," he said.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line Group (IRISL) is active in import and export despite sanctions," Shariatmadari said during his meeting with the CEO of the IRISL Mohammad Reza Modarres Khiabani.
"We should return to our former glory in shipping and maritime industry since this industry has a significant role in production, employment and wealth in the country," he said.
