About 1.19 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, 955,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 241,000 tons were unloaded in the port during last Iranian year.
"Furthermore, 946,000 tons of cargo were exported and 46,700 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port in the last Iranian year," the statistics said.
At the same time, 186,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 8,370 tons were loaded and 3,420 tons were unloaded for cabotage, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, 240 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,720 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes within last Iranian year.
"So, 421,000 tons of essential products, 1,650 tons of metal products, 549,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 203,000 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port over the last Iranian year," the statistics said.
Moreover, 4,300 tons of chemicals, 12,200 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 5,000 tons of small and assorted products, 28 tons of container products, 48 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port in the last Iranian year, the statistics said.
Reportedly, a total of 123 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports last Iranian year. This is a decrease of 18.1 percent compared to the preceding year. So, 150 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the preceding year.
