Turkey issues data on cargo delivered to local ports from Ukraine in 4M2021

Over 4.8 million tons of cargo had been transported from Ukraine via ports of Turkey in the first four months of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period 498,607 tons of cargo were delivered from Ukraine by ships flying the flag of Turkey, and over 4.1 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries to Turkish ports.

Meanwhile, 258,617 tons of cargo were delivered by ships flying Ukrainian flag to the mentioned ports.

Besides, over 1.1 million tons of cargo from Ukraine had been transited via the ports, the ministry said.

Totally, over 124.9 million tons of cargo had been transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Around 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports. About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period. In general, 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.

Furthermore, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021. At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.

Thus, over 6.3 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April this year.
