ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 19. Kazakhstan will repair 175.7 kilometers of roads of regional, district significance and city streets in Ulytau region this year

According to official data, due to the vast territory of the new region, the total length of the region's roads is 2,711 kilometers, of which republican roads are 961 kilometers, regional roads are 896 kilometers, district roads are 310 kilometers, and inner-city streets are 544 kilometers.

The repair will affect two main roads, these are the republican highways running along 'Zhezkazgan – Kyzylorda' and 'Zhezkazgan – Karaganda'.

The region plans to identify specific contractors by September of this year who will begin preparatory work in the fall. This means that road builders will determine their lands in advance, remove gravel and bring equipment.

Kazakhstan, being one of the largest and fastest growing countries in Central Asia, strives to improve its infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the economy and society. One of the most important tasks in this process is the modernization and repair of the road network, which plays an important role in ensuring efficient transport links within the country and abroad.
