Kazakh, Iranian FMs hold bilateral talks

The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrisov held bilateral talks with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi during the eleventh meeting of Foreign Ministers of the ‘Cooperation Dialogue in Asia’ member countries in Dushanbe on Friday.

The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrisov held bilateral talks with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi during the eleventh meeting of Foreign Ministers of the 'Cooperation Dialogue in Asia' member countries in Dushanbe on Friday.

The Kazakh minister invited his Iranian counterpart to take part in the Conference of Istanbul Process on Afghanistan to be held in Almaty on April 25-26.

"It is a very important event in the region," Idrisov said.

During the meeting, Idrisov also said the next round of the 'P5+1' group on the Iranian nuclear programme will be held in Almaty on April 5-6, 2013.

"Kazakhstan will do its best for stabilisation of the situation in Afghanistan and normalisation of the international community's relations with Iran. According to our vision, Iran and Afghanistan should become an area of ​​peace and opportunities for all," Idrisov said.
