Russia may restrict the goods transit from Belarus and Ukraine to Kazakhstan because of attempts to bring EU products to its territory, RIA Novosti reported with the reference to the head Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) Sergey Dankvert.

"We will discuss banning transit through the Belarusian and Ukrainian border to Kazakhstan and will pass these goods just through our checkpoints," Dankvert said.
He noted that it was revealed that European meat with forged Brazilian documents was send from Belarus to Kazakhstan through Russian territory. However main part of this consignment did not reach Kazakhstan and disappeared in Russia.

"We have detained about 300 metric tons of European products with fake Brazilian documents and the remaining 7,500 metric tons of goods did not reach Kazakhstan and remained somewhere in Russia," Dankvert said.

Russia banned import of some goods from the countries which imposed sanctions on Moscow: US, EU countries, Canada, Australia and Norway since the beginning of August. The list of banned products includes fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, poultry, cheeses and dairy products, nuts.
