Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev has ratified the amendments to the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Trend reports citing the press office of the president.
The document allows to set off advance payments against payment of import customs, special, anti-dumping, countervailing duties. Advance payments are recognized as money contributed towards the payment of forthcoming customs payments and taxes, penalties and interest.
Currently, during customs clearance, about six types of customs payments and taxes can be paid.
The ratification of the protocol is expected to minimize the costs of participants in foreign economic activity associated with the need to use several payment orders to pay import customs, special, anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
In addition, it will provide an opportunity to simplify the administration of fees.
