BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will invest $1.1 billion in Kazakhstan in 2023, Nikolay Podguzov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank, said, Trend reports, citing Kazakh presidential press-service

Priority sectors include development of transport infrastructure, logistics, industry, agro-industrial complex, green energy and water resources.

Podguzov made the statement during the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Additionally, the EDB intends to assist Kazakhstan in attracting investments for carrying out local projects.

Podguzov added that the bank invested $1.2 billion in Kazakhstan in 2022, which is a fivefold increase compared to 2021 figures.

The Eurasian Development Bank is an international financial institution investing in the development of economies, trade and other economic ties, and integration in Eurasian countries. The EDB was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
