BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 1. Kazakhstan will supply 20,000 tons of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline, Bulat Aqchulaqov, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, said, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

According to the minister, the first supply the first batch of crude oil in the first half of February.

“We wanted to send the first batch by the end of January, but, unfortunately, there were minor technical hurdles,” Aqchulaqov added.

The minister noted that previously, the supply routes passed through the Black Sea, and technical difficulties arose due to the change of supply route.

The minister concluded by saying that currently, all existing difficulties are eliminated.

Earlier, Aqchulaqov said that Kazakhstan can supply Germany with up to 6 million tons of oil annually, depending on German demand. The oil transit will be carried out through the territory of Russia, which was green-lighted by Russia.
