BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Astana Hub, an international Technopark for startups, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Astana Hub.

The document was signed in the framework of the Digital Almaty 2023 Forum.

The MoU creates a basis for future cooperation between the London-based bank and the Astana Hub in implementing the Star Venture Program. The program aims to provide support to acceleration and venture financing of the early-stage startups.

"The Memorandum of Understanding with Astana Hub will allow us to provide more targeted support to promising startups. Thus, we are joining forces with Astana Hub as part of our Star Venture program to better target promising startups", Husein Ozkhan, the EBRD Country Head for Kazakhstan, said.

Digital Almaty is a traditional dialogue platform for discussing the digital agenda, new strategies for digital transformation, and trends in digital technology. The Forum has been held for the fifth time since 2018.
