BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region is working on 53 major projects to be implemented in the region between 2023 and 2025, Yermaqanbet Bulekpayev, the head of the regional municipality, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Kazakh President.
The statement was made during his meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Bulekpayev noted that the municipality aims to finance 5,500 projects involving small and medium-sized enterprises worth around 18 billion Kazakh tenge ($40 million). The implementation of the projects will create some 5,800 workplaces.
The municipal head also noted that 92 medical facilities and 18 schools will be constructed in the region before 2025.
Earlier, the Kazakh President met the heads of three other regions, including Mangystau, Turkestan, and North Kazakhstan. The discussion between the head of state and regional officials revolved around the topics of social security of the citizens, attracting investments, and boosting the economic potential of the regions.
