The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has proposed a draft order to approve the maximum price for LPG sold outside of commodity exchanges within the framework of the plan to supply LPG to the domestic market.
According to the document, the maximum price of 40,320 Kazakh tenge (approximately $90), excluding value-added tax, per ton for LPG sold outside of commodity exchanges should be applied from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024
The current maximum price for LPG is 33,600 tenge ($74.49) per ton. The draft order will be open for public discussion until May 30.

The Ministry of Energy aims to strike a balance between affordability for consumers and fair pricing for suppliers.
The public discussion period allows stakeholders and the general public to provide feedback and share their perspectives on the proposed price adjustment. This open dialogue ensures transparency and allows for a comprehensive assessment of the potential impact on various sectors and consumers.
The final decision on the maximum price for LPG will take into account the feedback received during the public discussion period.
