BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. The net profit of Kazakhstan National Atomic Company, Kazatomprom, increased by 75.82 percent and reached 109.2 billion Kazakh tenge ($265.4 million) in the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the company's financial report, the company's profit before tax equaled 137.4 billion Kazakh tenge ($309 million), while tax expenses totaled 28.2 billion Kazakh tenge ($63.4 million) in the reporting period.
Furthermore, the company's administrative expenses accounted for 17.9 billion Kazakh tenge ($40.2 million) against 7.2 billion Kazakh tenge ($16.1 million in the same period of the last year.
Thus, the company's administrative expenses saw a remarkable increase of 2.4 times.
Meanwhile, Kazatomprom's financial expenses in the first quarter of this year totaled 2.6 billion Kazakh tenge ($5.8 million), which is slightly more (19.21 percent) than in the same period last year - 2.2 billion Kazakh tenge ($4.9 million).
In addition, Kazatomprom's authorized capital in the reporting period amounted to 37.05 billion Kazakh tenge ($83.3 million).
The company's total assets equaled 1.4 trillion Kazakh tenge ($3.3 billion), out of which short-term assets accounted for 943.3 billion Kazakh tenge ($2.12 billion), while long-term assets - 526.7 billion Kazakh tenge ($1.18 billion).
