BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Investments from the UAE to Kazakhstan over 2022 increased by 27 percent to nearly $420 million, Trend reports.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the UAE to Kazakhstan, Muhammad Said Muhammad Al-Araki, held talks on increasing mutual trade volumes and implementing joint investment projects in the energy, transportation, and logistics sectors.
Smailov emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches special importance to the development of investment partnership with the UAE. n January this year, the governments of both countries signed a Joint Declaration on the implementation of new strategic investment projects.
"It is gratifying that today the parties have already begun to implement the agreements reached at a high level. We are focused on intensifying our interaction and are interested in increasing UAE investments in the Kazakh economy," said Smailov, adding that the development of trade relations is also a priority task.
The leaders of our countries have set a goal to increase mutual trade volume to $1 billion. In this regard, Kazakhstan is ready to increase the supply of agricultural products, machinery, and light industrial goods to the UAE market, the PM noted.
