BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Kazakhstan's GDP growth accounted for 4.5 percent from January through May 2023, the country's Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov said at a Government meeting, Trend reports.
According to the minister, the real sector recorded a growth rate of 3.6 percent, while the services sector saw a significant increase of 4.9 percent. This positive trend is evident across all major industries, with construction leading the way at an impressive growth rate of 12.1 percent.
The trade sector also experienced substantial growth at 10.2 percent, followed by the information and communication sector at 9.1 percent, he said.
Furthermore, the growth rate of investments in fixed assets totaled 17.2 percent in the reporting period. The inflow of investment particularly increased in such areas as the transportation and storage sector - 56 percent, and the agriculture sector - 31 percent.
The industrial sector also saw a significant rise at 15.7 percent, and operations within the real estate industry increased by 3 percent.
From January through April, the GDP growth rate in Kazakhstan equaled 5 percent, while the growth rate of investments in fixed assets amounted to 18 percent.
