ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 4. In light of ongoing repair campaigns at several oil refineries in Kazakhstan, Russia's Gazpromneft oil company has commenced the delivery of RON-95 gasoline to Kazakhstan, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Almassadam Satkaliyev told reporters on the sidelines of the government meeting, Trend reports.

The minister noted that ongoing repairs at the Atyrau and Shymkent oil refineries have decreased the production of RON-95 gasoline.

"We anticipate that the market demand can only be met through imports from Russia, and we require up to 40,000 tons of RON-95 gasoline per month. Negotiations are currently underway, and Gazpromneft has already initiated the import of this gasoline," said Satkaliyev.

Atyrau Oil Refinery, Shymkent Oil Refinery, and Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery are three major oil refineries in Kazakhstan. Pavlodar Refinery is undergoing a major overhaul from June 20 to July 19, while repairs are taking place at the Shymkent refinery from July 3 to July 14, involving the replacement of one of its units, resulting in limited production at the facility.
