BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. On August 25-26, a meeting of representatives of the energy and water management departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was held in Astana to discuss issues of water and energy cooperation, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry, during the meeting, issues of electric power supply in the upcoming autumn-winter season, as well as cooperation in other areas were discussed. A number of mutual agreements were reached, the volumes and terms of supplies were determined
The parties also agreed to work out the possibility of introducing a mechanism for maintaining hourly accounting of electric energy; conclude agreements for the settlement of unscheduled overflows between business entities; revise the current terms of contracts for the settlement of unscheduled overflows.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling previous commitments.
The next meeting of representatives of the water and energy departments will be held in November 2023 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
