Kazakhstan reveals volume of revenues received into state budget in 8M2023

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 13. The state budget of Kazakhstan received 12.5 trillion tenge (about $27.1 billion) in revenues from January through August 2023, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubaev said at a government meeting, Trend reports.

As the head of the Ministry of Finance noted, the plan for revenue receipts in the budget was fulfilled by 97.2 percent.

Thus, the republican budget was replenished by 8.3 trillion tenge (about $18 billion), and local budgets by 4.2 trillion tenge (about $9.1 billion).

"State budget expenditures were fulfilled by 98.6 percent, republican by 99.3 percent, and local by 98.3 percent," he added.

As Deputy Minister of Economy Azamat Amrin previously stated at a government meeting, the economy of Kazakhstan grew by 4.9 percent from January through August 2023. Growth in the real sector was 4.4 percent, and in the services sector, 4.8 percent. Positive dynamics are observed in all major industries, including construction, trade, information, and communications.

In 2022, Kazakhstan's economy grew by 3.1 percent. Growth in the real sector was 3.2 percent, and in the services sector, 2.5 percent. The growth rate of investment in fixed assets amounted to 7.8 percent.

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover in 2022 reached a historically high level of $134.4 billion. The trade surplus amounted to $34.3 billion, which is 82 percent better than in 2021 and four times more than in 2020.
