ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 22. Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company), Magzum Mirzagaliyev has met with General Director of DeGolyer and MacNaughton John Wallace and Deputy General Director for Technical Affairs Andy Haas, the company told Trend.

DeGolyer and MacNaughton is a leading independent consulting firm providing services to the oil and gas industry. The company's services include resource estimation, reserves consulting, development modeling, geological and petrophysical data analysis, development planning, financial reporting assistance, and financial forecasts for hydrocarbon discoveries.

The parties discussed cooperation within the framework of the annual independent audit of KMG hydrocarbon reserves according to international standards (SPE-PRMS). The assessment results over recent years show an increase in reserves and maintenance of the level of oil and condensate production at KMG fields.

SPE-PRMS (Petroleum Resources Management System) is an international system for assessing hydrocarbon reserves. The system takes into account both the probability of finding oil and gas and the economic efficiency of their extraction.

In addition, DeGolyer, MacNaughton, and KMG are collaborating in the field of analysis and identification of reserve growth potential in the company's mature fields.

Company leaders also focused on joint plans for 2024.

"KMG’s cooperation with D&M has been positive, and in the coming years we want to continue our cooperation to replenish reserves and increase production efficiency at KMG fields," Mirzagaliyev said.
