ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 26. The industry in the Kazakh city of Almaty has grown by 21.7 since the beginning of this year, Trend reports.
Data from the City Department of Economics shows that positive industrial growth rates are ensured in all regions.
Significant growth is observed in the Alatau region due to the growth of mechanical engineering by 34.4 percent.
Mechanical engineering occupies the largest share in the industry structure—about 40 percent.
The index of industrial production in Kazakhstan from January through July 2023 amounted to 103.6 percent. During this period, industrial goods were produced for a total of 26,3 trillion tenge (about $55.5 billion). In the structure of production, 46.6 percent (12,2 trillion tenge or about $25.7 billion) came from the mining industry, and 46.7 percent (12,3 trillion tenge or about $25.9 billion) from the manufacturing industry.
