ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 29. KazMunayGas (KMG, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) and the German Linde Group signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Federal Republic of Germany, Trend reports.
On the Kazakh side, the document was signed by the Chairman of the Board Magzum Mirzagaliyev, on the German side - by Oliver Pfann, Senior Vice President for the Middle East, Europe, and Africa at Linde GmbH.
The memorandum provides for the expansion of cooperation in the oil and gas industry on mutually beneficial terms. In particular, the parties agreed to actively use innovative and effective design solutions to improve petroleum and gas chemical processes, as well as in the development and implementation of carbon capture methods at KazMunayGas projects.
Today, KMG and Linde Group (Linde Engineering) already have experience working together, in particular on pyrolysis technology for the polyethylene production complex in the Atyrau region.
By signing the memorandum, both companies confirmed their readiness for productive cooperation and expressed common aspirations for sustainable development and innovation in the petroleum and gas chemical industry.
