ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 4. The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has visited the Turan gas thermal station, Trend reports.
He got acquainted with the progress of work on the construction of gas thermal stations "Turan" and "Yugo-Vostok(South-East"), a pumping and filtration station, and CHPP-3.
The head of the executive power of Astana, Zhenis Kasymbek, informed Tokayev about the completion of the construction of the "Yugo-Vostok" gas thermal station and the first stage of the Turan gas thermal station, which has a total capacity of 700 gigacalories per hour.
The President of Kazakhstan was informed that the specified gas thermal stations will be put into operation this year with the beginning of the heating season. The construction of CHPP-3 will be completed by the end of the year.
The three new facilities will provide the city with an additional thermal capacity of 1,140 gigacalories per hour. The construction of the second stage of the Turan gas thermal station and the new Telman gas thermal station will provide an additional 850 gigacalories per hour.
Representatives of the construction company reported that there are agreements with the manufacturer of gas equipment to localize the production of gas thermal stations in Kazakhstan.
In turn, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was instructed to ensure the phased commissioning of the existing capacities of gas thermal stations.
