ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 28. The volume of production of petroleum products at the Kazakh and Romanian plants of KazMunayGas JSC (national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan) amounted to 13.673 million tons from January through September 2023, Trend reports.

According to KMG, this figure is 0.9 percent less than the figure for the same months of 2022.

Kazakhstani refineries produced 9.672 million tons of petroleum products, which is 1.3 percent less than the same period in 2022. The decrease was due to a shutdown for repairs at the Shymkent Oil Refinery.

KMG International plants (Petromidia, Vega in Romania) produced over 4 million tons of petroleum products, which is identical to the same period last year.

KazMunayGas (KMG), Kazakhstan’s oil and gas company, increased its oil and gas condensate production volume over the first 9 months of 2023, surpassing the data of last year's same period by 9 percent. Thus, the production of oil and gas condensate amounted to 17.5 million tons (483,000 b/d).

The production volume of natural and associated gas in the reporting period of 2023 increased by 17.9 percent year-on-year to over 7 bcm.
