Kazakhstan ranks second mid Turkic states in decade-long turnover with Azerbaijan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 2. Kazakhstan took second place in terms of trade turnover with Azerbaijan over the past 10 years among the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Trend reports.

According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan from 2013 to 2022 totaled $2.35 billion.

In 2013, the countries' trade turnover was $371 million. This sum is expected to rise to $598.4 million in 2022.

Türkiye is in top place. Over the last ten years, trade between Azerbaijan and Türkiye has totaled $32.86 billion.

Turkmenistan has finished the first three. Over the last decade, trade between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan totaled $1.61 billion.

Furthermore, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $52.6 billion, which is 55 percent more than in 2021 ($33.9 billion).

The volume of Azerbaijani exports amounted to $38.14 billion, and imports to Azerbaijan - $14.54 billion.

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover in 2022 reached a historically high level of $134.4 billion.

Export volumes amounted to $84.4 billion. Import volumes to Kazakhstan reached $50 billion for the first time, updating the 2013 record ($48.8 billion).
