ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 22. Japan's ITO Ltd. plans to launch gas supply products in Kazakhstan's Atyrau region, said the manager of the foreign economic activity department of the company Hayashi Sakura, Trend reports.
He made the remark during the meeting with Deputy Head of the Regional Executive Power Marat Murziyev.
"Japan has a lot of technology. At this stage, we plan to develop our production in your country. Although our company is small, we intend to test our technology in Kazakhstan. ITO manufactures and sells a variety of products that no other organization can offer," he said.
According to Hayashi Sakura, previously the company produced regulators for liquefied gas and then entered the natural gas market.
"We mainly produce pressure regulators, valves, evaporators, and natural gas cylinders, and we also design and build liquefied gas supply facilities. Sales in Japan in 2020 were $120 million," he noted.
In turn, Marat Murziyev expressed interest in the implementation of this project and his readiness to support investment projects aimed at developing the region. According to him, in the special economic zone of Atyrau city, there is an opportunity to open a company producing these products.
To note, from January through December last year, the foreign trade turnover of the Atyrau region with Japan amounted to $28.7 million. Of these, exports are $14,100 and imports are $28.7 million.
