ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6. Kazakhstan's KTZ Express (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways, KTZ) and Chinese Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Trend reports.
The document was signed as part of a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Logistics Board of KTZ Yerlan Koyshibayev and the heads of the Department of Transport of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province of China and the largest state trade group in the province, Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group.
Thus, under the context of the signed deal, the parties agreed to jointly organize and dispatch container trains via Kazakhstan, including along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor).
To note, Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group includes 380 enterprises, including the logistics platform Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express, which sends more than 2,000 trains annually in western and eastern directions.
Yuxinou and KTZ have been operating a combined TITR service from Nanjing (China) to Absheron (Azerbaijan) since the beginning of the year, with delivery times of up to 18 days on average.
