ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6. Kazakhstan plans to simplify road freight transportation with Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

Thus, in order to further simplify the issuance of Uzbek permit forms, a draft joint order of the Ministers of Transport, Finance, and Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan has been developed.

The pilot project provides for the issuance of permits of the type "to/from third countries" in electronic form at the Atameken, B.Konysbaev, Kazygurt, Kaplanbek and Tazhen checkpoints from April 2024.

Acceptance of applications for the issuance of electronic permits to Kazakhstani carriers will be carried out by territorial bodies of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan through the automated electronic queue system CarGoRuqsat.

As a result, this mechanism will allow carriers to simplify cargo transportation with Uzbekistan and eliminate speculation with places in the queue and the transfer of permit forms to third parties. Domestic carriers entering Uzbekistan through the territory of Kazakhstan will receive Uzbek permits electronically at checkpoints.

At the same time, domestic carriers entering Uzbekistan without transiting through the territory of Kazakhstan can obtain Uzbek permits through the e-government portal.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan is one of Kazakhstan's largest trading partners. The volume of trade turnover for 2022 reached the planned milestone of $5 billion. Over the 11 months of last year, mutual trade also showed good results and amounted to $4.1 billion.
