KazMunayGas, MOL Group review current operational activities of Rozhkovskoye project

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 7. Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas JSC (KMG, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) Magzum Mirzagaliyev has discussed with Executive Vice President for Exploration and Production of MOL Group Zsombor Marton current operational activities of the joint project Rozhkovskoye (gas field in Kazakhstan), Trend reports.

According to the KMG, in particular, the parties talked about accelerating the development of the field and switching to the Improved Model Contract (IMC).

In addition, the parties discussed the development of gas chemistry, oil supplies to Hungary and the export of condensate from the Rozhkovskoye field.

To note, the Rozhkovskoye gas and condensate field (West Kazakhstan region) was put into commercial operation on December 21, 2023. The operator of the field is Ural Oil and Gas LLP (a subsidiary of KazMunayGas).

The participants of Ural Oil and Gas LLP are KazMunayGas (50 percent), the Hungarian MOL Caspian Oil and Gas Plc. (27.5 percent) and Chinese First International Oil Corporation (22.5 percent).

Since the beginning of the commissioning of the Rozhkovskoye field (December 21, 2023), the first shipment of gas condensate for export in the amount of 4,200 tons was carried out in January 2024.

Moreover, the production volume at the Kazakhstan's Rozhkovskoye field will be about 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year after full-scale development of the field. According to the KMG, the volume of gas condensate production will be more than 500,000 tons per year, the production of liquefied petroleum gas will be more than 150,000 tons per year, marketable products will exceed 700 million cubic meters of commercial gas.
