ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 16. KazMunayGas JSC's (KMG, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) net debt amounted to 1.645 trillion tenge ($3.6 billion) as of the end of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the financial results of the company, net debt decreased in tenge terms by 23.6 percent and in US dollar terms by 22.3 percent compared to December 31, 2022.
The total debt as of December 31, 2023, amounted to 3.757 trillion tenge ($8.3 billion), decreasing in tenge terms by 9.6 percent and in USD terms by 8 percent compared to December 31, 2022.
To note, in April 2023, KMG carried out full early repayment of Eurobonds in the amount of $500 million with maturity until 2025.
Meanwhile, the revenue of KazMunayGas JSC amounted to 8.32 trillion tenge (about $18.4 billion) from January through December 2023. The figure fell by 4.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Furthermore, the volume of oil production by KazMunayGas amounted to 23.5 million tons in 2023. The volume of oil and gas condensate production grew by 6.9 percent in 2022.
At the same time, gas production in 2023 amounted to 9.459 billion cubic meters, which is 14.8 percent more than in 2022.
