ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 25. The volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy amounted to $1.45 billion in January 2024, Trend reports.
This is the highest figure among EU nations, with which the total volume of trade turnover reached to $3.2 billion.
Data from the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that the volume of trade turnover increased by 17.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($1.24 billion).
At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Italy for the above period amounted to $1.35 billion, which is 18.3 percent more than January 2023 ($1.14 billion).
In addition, imports from Italy in January 2024 increased by 8.2 percent and amounted to $99.9 million. In January 2023, imports amounted to $92.3 million.
To note, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy amounted to $16.071 billion in 2023. The volume of trade turnover increased by 7.8 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($14.9 billion).
At the same time, in terms of trade turnover structure, exports to Italy for the aforementioned period totaled $14.883 billion, a 7.44 percent increase over the January through December 2022 period.
In addition, imports from Italy climbed by 17.3 percent from January through December 2023, totaling $1.237 billion. In 2022, imports totaled $1.054 billion.
