CIS experts discussing improvement of Economic Court's work

(Kazinform) - Package of documents providing legal framework for improvement of the CIS Economic Court is being considered by the experts at the sitting of the working group of CIS member states that is on in Minsk, Byelorussia.

The group is headed by the Chairman of Russian Supreme Arbitration Court Anton Ivanov; Kazinform refers to press service of CIS Executive Committee, reports Trend.

In particular there are being discussed draft decisions of the Council of the Governments Heads on improvement of CIS Economic Courts activity and minutes on amendments to the agreement on its status.

Since the beginning of its activity in February 1994 the Court passed more than 70 acts. In January 2005 the Court shifted to a sessional basis of activity. New form of work was introduced with the purpose to enhance its activity. Currently CIS Economic Court is functioning as a judicial agency of EurAsEc as well.
