(Kazakhstan today) - Kassymzhomart Tokayev, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, has received Geoff Hoon, British Vice Foreign Minister, currently on a visit in Kazkahstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has informed Kazakhstan Today.
At the meeting the diplomats have discussed a number of issues related with the bilateral commercial and economic co-operation, the situation in Central Asia, as well as the role of Kazakhstan in provision of regional and global energy security, reports Trend.
During his visit Mr. Hoon has held a number of meetings in different Ministries and other authorities of Kazakhstan, and participated in a workshop "Prospects of recyclable energy in RK" organised by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of RK together with the embassy of UK and the UNDP.
The former Secretary of State for Defence and the Leader of the House of Commons Geoff Hoon is an influential British politician and the Minister of State for Europe.
