Finland to expand parliamentary contacts with Kazakhstan
(KAZINFORM) Today Chairman of Majilis (Lower Chamber of Kazakh Parliament) Ural Mukhamedzhanov has received Pertti Torstila, Secretary of State of Finnish Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting with the participation of Chamber's deputies Satybaldy Ibragimov and Alexander Milyutin the sides agreed that potential of inter-parliamentary cooperation in used not to the full extent. The Finish guest showed keen interest in development of new capital of Kazakhstan. It was noted also that the 2nd Congress of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders contributed both to consolidation of peace in the region and world globalization, reports Trend.
The parties touched upon forthcoming visits of Finnish delegations to Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan's aspiration to preside in OSCE in 2006. Finland is ready to expand parliamentary contacts with Kazakhstan.
