According to him, the transition period is dragged out. "The interim government stopped its existence in 2010. In spite of legitimate power many are working like interim workers. It is time to finish this period. Elections of the local government (mayors, heads of aiyl okmotu) must be held as soon as possible. The Central Election Commission has to assist in speeding up the process," added Omurbek Tekebayev.

The leader of the faction noted that the country lived unprecedented experience when the member of the opposition headed the Central Election Commission. "The Commission stops to be a body issuing mandates for the power. I hope the forthcoming elections will be transparent and fair," said Omurbek Tekebayev.
