The U.S. Embassy calls the participants to act responsibly in the upcoming presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan on October 30, CA-NEWS reported.
"All candidates have a duty to ensure that they and their supporters respect and uphold the Code of Conduct for Elections," the U.S. Embassy said in its statement.
"The 2010 parliamentary elections were widely hailed as truly competitive, which signaled Kyrgyzstan's commitment to the peaceful transfer of power through the democratic process. On Election Day, the citizens and political leaders of the Kyrgyz Republic will again have the opportunity to demonstrate their capacity and will to conduct free and fair elections that advance political reform and meet international standards," the U.S. Embassy said.
