Workers of "Kumtor Opetation Company" ask the government to impose a state of emergency in the Issyk-Kul region in connection with the situation in the region, chairman of the central committee of Mining and Metallurgical Workers' Union of Kyrgyzstan, Eldar Tadzhibaev said on Thursday.
"I speak on behalf of the employees of Kumtor. Government should introduce a state of emergency in the region, as there is information that the neighboring villages is a crowd of people, they too can join the protesters tomorrow if the authorities do not take action," - Tadzhibaev said.
