BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Kyrgyzstan increased exports of agricultural products from January through May 2022, said Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan Askarbek Dzhanybekov, Trend reports via kabar.kg.
According to him, total exports of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan in the first five months of 2022 amounted to 15.7 billion soums ($196.9 million), which is an increase of 36 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
Export of animal products in the reporting period increased three times compared to the same period of last year - up to 2.6 billion soums ($32.6 million).
In addition, Kyrgyzstan exported products of the food and processing industry worth 6.7 billion soums ($83.8 million) and crop production in the amount of 5.7 billion soums ($71.9 million).
Overall, the total amount of agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan from January through May 2022 reached 92.2 billion soums ($1.1 billion).
