BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev revealed the volume of planned electricity imports from Turkmenistan for 2023, Trend reports via Kyrgyz Media.

During the today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament of Kyrgyzstan), Ibraev announced that in the next year, Kyrgyzstan plans to import 2 billion kWh of electricity from Turkmenistan.

"We will visit Turkmenistan from October 12 to 14, 2022 and sign an agreement on the supply of 2 billion kWh from Turkmenistan," Ibraev said.

In addition, he noted that in the coming year, Kyrgyzstan will import 600 million kWh of electricity from neighboring Kazakhstan.
