Azerbaijani ISFA LLC to export almond seedlings to Kyrgyzstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. Azerbaijani ISFA LLC plans to export 40,000 almond seedlings worth $100,000 to Kyrgyzstan in February 2023, Trend reports via the Economic Zones Development Agency of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, ISFA LLC will also export 80,000 seedlings of walnut to Georgia.

ISFA LLC is a resident of Yevlakh Pilot Agropark in Azerbaijan covering an area of 10 hectares and was created in the frame of integration of medium-sized farms into the agro-industrial clusters program. ISFA will for the first time realize the sales in the interior market, as well as exports of seedlings in the agro park.

According to the agency, fast-growing seedlings of cherry, nectarine, peach, greengage plums, and apricot have been planted in the park, as well as 500,000 grafted seedlings.

From January through October 2022, Azerbaijan imported Kyrgyzstan goods worth $2.6 million, which is two times less than in the respective period of 2021 ($5.2 million).

Kyrgyzstan exports to Azerbaijan in 10 months of 2022 amounted to $4.3 million, up by 16.2 percent ($3.7 million) compared to the same period in 2021, with legumes making up the main share of $1.4 million. Meanwhile, the value of Kyrgyz nut exports totaled $370,900.
