BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia will hopefully grow, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Temir Sariev, said during the Kyrgyz-Slovenia forum, Trend reports with reference to Kyrgyz media.
The meeting was held in Kyrgyz Bishkek with the participation of the government structures and businesses of Kyrgyzstan and the representatives of the SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyzstan and the State Agency for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technologies of the Republic of Slovenia Spirit was signed.
The second signed document is a Memorandum of Understanding between JalGroup Asia LLC and DUOL d.o.o.
The parties also discussed plans for development of trade turnover between the two countries, as well as investments in energy, tourism and business fields.
According to the Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee, the value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia amounted to $12.1 million from January through November 2002. Kyrgyzstan exported to Slovenia goods worth $40,900 in the reporting period.
